Where our information comes from

Every formula guide is written against open textbooks and reference sites that publish their derivations: OpenStax Chemistry 2e (CC BY), LibreTexts Chemistry, NIST for constants and thermodynamic data, and university chemistry department pages. Each guide lists the exact pages it relies on. No encyclopedias, no blogs, no homework-help sites.

How we use AI

AI powers the tutor in the app and may help draft the guides. On this site, every equation form, constant and condition is traced to a source, and every worked example is recomputed by an independent verifier before a page becomes indexable. The recomputation is logged claim by claim in the repository's FORMULAS-REVIEW.md.

What the site will not claim

Flasky explains the method; it does not promise a grade, a score or an exam result, and the site never frames the app as a way around doing the work. Solutions in the app are AI-generated and can contain a mistake, which is why every step is shown. The formula guides cover high-school and introductory college chemistry; they are not a substitute for a course.

How a formula guide is built

Each guide answers the questions in the order a student meets them mid-problem: what the formula says, what every symbol means with its unit, when you are allowed to use it, a problem worked all the way through with real numbers, and the mistakes that cost the marks. Conditions come before the algebra on purpose, because most wrong answers come from a formula applied where it does not hold, or a unit that never got converted, not from a slip in arithmetic.

Worked examples are constructed textbook-style problems, not measurements. Every number is recomputed independently and the recomputation is logged so a reader can repeat it. Where a source page supports only part of a record, the ledger says which source carries each claim.

Guides are re-checked when a cited textbook section changes and at least once a year; the date on each page is the last time that check ran.
